Noa Lidor In the chambers of the sea 16.09.2010 Nit de l'Art 2010
Noa Lidor (Israel, 1977) has participated in numerous group and solo exhibitions, and produced site-specific projects for the Friends Room at Tate Modern (London, UK), Abbot Hall Gallery (Cumbria, UK), La Caja Blanca gallery (Palma de Mallorca, Spain), and the Haifa Museum of Art (Haifa, Israel).
She works with sculpture, drawing and installation and often draws on humble materials such as paper, salt or plaster, as well as objects usually found in domestic environments such as furnishings, feminine home accessories such as doilies and candelabras, and musical instruments, which once appropriated by the artist, loose the function they were originally designed to perform.
Federico Acal Lighthouse, a silent landscape 02.08.2010 - 10.09.2010
Curated by: Paula Llull Llobera
Presented in: La Caja Blanca, Palma de Mallorca
Through his 3 channel video projection, Acal's work invites the viewer to inmerse themselves into the intimate, symbiotic relationship between the Mediterranean sea and the lighthouses of Mallorca.
At first glance, the evocative images of the 10 lighthouses that mark the coast of Mallorca in the video "Lighthouses, a
silent landscape", might appear to be still images of the island's beauty spots but soon it becomes apparent that they provide an intentional emphasis on the landscape.

Mitos Colom Vuelo 19
March 2010 - June 2010
Location: La Caja Blanca, Palma de Mallorca 07001, Spain
La Caja Blanca is pleased to present Mitos Colom's second solo show.
With his characteristic sense of humour and science-fiction aesthetics, Vuelo 19 (Flight 19) demonstrates the scepticism with which the current generation of youth rejects the stereotypes of their elders and take it upon themselves to determine the reality that surrounds them.
